Why do pickleball players wear arm sleeves? Is there a particular benefit that arm sleeves provide, or do pickleball players wear arm sleeves just to look good on the court? In a word, yes.
Years ago, tennis star Milo Raonic sported a tennis arm sleeve. Why? Well initially, he wore the arm sleeve on his doctor's advisement to protect a skin rash that had developed on his arm from overexposure to the sun. It worked. Not only did the arm sleeve protect his skin from the sun, but he liked the feeling of compression, support, and coolness that the arm sleeve provided and it soon became a part of his competitive armor.
